Reliable data lead to excellent advice
Taking reliable water quality measurements requires top quality equipment. It is for that reason that Tauw BV tests its measuring equipment for wastewater, among other things, in the Twello stream and collects these data with C.A.R.S.
The Twello stream is a perfect testing location for Tauw BV to test equipment. “With the box we have there, Tauw BV’s measuring equipment and the C.A.R.S information system of YP Your Partner BV we can take reliable measurements for recording and analysis. We obtain more data as well as knowledge about our own equipment. This knowledge enables us to give our clients better advice,” says Jeroen van den Berg, project leader at Tauw BV.
Taking reliable water quality measurements requires top quality equipment. It is for that reason that Tauw BV tests its measuring equipment for wastewater, among other things, in the Twello stream. The engineering consultancy obtains information from this stream about the level of water pollution by measuring nitrate and chemical oxygen use. The higher the level of chemical oxygen consumption, the more polluted the water is.
Every minute C.A.R.S accurately collects the parameters that come in from Tauw BV’s measuring equipment, such as: NO3, NO2, CODeq, BODeq, DOCeq and TOCeq. Tauw BV uses these data to analyse the results and then uses them to test its own equipment. This is how the engineering consultancy produces reliable measuring equipment, which in turns results in: excellent advice.
